Aleksandr Konochkin: “I am glad that we have players who put their careers above the momentary benefit”
Today, Baktiyor Zainutdinov, who played for FC Astana the last season, signed a contract with the Russian Premier League club FC Rostov.

Aleksandr Konochkin, Sports director of the capital club, told about the details of the leave of the 20-year-old midfielder of FC Astana:
- At the end of the season 2017, our club held talks with FC Taraz and the player himself for a labor agreement. Following the negotiations, an agreement to transfer of Baktiyor to FC Astana for 20 million tenge was reached. Also, a three-year contract was concluded between the club and Zainutdinov, which, at the request of the player’s agents, provided for the option of early “redemption” of the contract by the player with compensation in the amount of 50 million tenge, which was valid during the first year of the employment contract and could only be activated by receiving proposals for the transfer of Zainutdinov to a foreign club. After the end of the season 2018, the player and his representatives exercised their right to early termination of the contract, paying 50 million tenge provided for by the agreement. For our part, we offered him to extend the agreement with a salary increase of two and a half times, but he refused, preferring to go to FC Rostov for smaller conditions. On the one hand, it is sad that FC Astana is losing such a promising player, but, on the other hand, I am glad that we still have players who put their careers above the momentary benefits. At the same time, there is an agreement that if during this year he fails to become the main player of FC Rostov, he will return to FC Astana and we will continue to cooperate with him.
